Restoring Kindness Canada
Operation Christmas Child
We have a long history of supporting local and international community initiatives and our community engagement is well recognized by our peers.
For the last 20 years, we have supported Operation Christmas Child organized by Samaritan’s Purse International Relief. Operation Christmas Child is a program that collects gift-filled shoe-boxes from caring donors and distributes them to struggling kids all over the world.
In lieu of corporate gifts and in partnership with all our clients and suppliers, we buy enough items to fill over 250+ Christmas boxes each year, that are shipped worldwide to children that otherwise might not receive anything else for Christmas.
In 2014, QJS owners, Kevin, and Paula Casey opened their home to host an event called Christmas in October, where members of the community are invited to help with the packing of the Christmas boxes. The event also offers other activities at the farm: BBQ, hayrides, live music, arts and crafts, face painting, etc.
Wounded Warriors – Park of Reflection, Whitby
The Park of Reflection will be a place for all Canadians to visit, reflect, and remember the cost of service and its impact on families.”
Our Involvement is part of the Adopt a Park program by the Town of Whitby. “The Adopt-a-Park Program is a cooperative program designed to encourage citizens, individuals, organizations, businesses, and clubs to volunteer and assist the municipality to enhance the Town’s Parks and Open Spaces by providing the opportunity to contribute financially toward major capital improvements, or minor capital enhancements, or providing the opportunity to provide labor in-kind for clean-ups.”
